VEJA launches its first sandal: ETNA — a natural next step for the brand, almost twenty years after its first sneakers. As an essential staple in the Brazilian wardrobe, the sandal pays tribute to VEJA’s roots, where since 2005, the brand has been sourcing its materials and manufacturing its products in Brazil, with a focus on social, economic, and environmental justice.

ETNA is designed for a life between city, nature, and adventure. As climate change makes it harder to wear sneakers year-round, and with rising temperatures and more frequent heatwaves, ETNA offers a lightweight, breathable alternative to closed shoes.

The sandal features a thick, grippy sole made from Amazonian rubber, paired with a green E.V.A. insole – an ultra-flexible plastic material made from sugarcane. Lightweight and durable, it invites us to explore and travel with comfort and purpose.
